     It was late August and summer was nearly over, London was full of parents and their children running around getting supplies and new uniforms for the upcoming school year. While all of London was getting ready, out in the country two girls walked a beaten path. One girl pushed an old rusty bike and the other walked alongside it. The two looked as if they were coming back from what was most likely their last adventure of the summer. The girl walking alongside the bike wore a bright white sundress. Neglecting HomeworkRon started awake, a sound penetrating his sleep that he couldn’t quite identify at first. After a moment, he realized it had been his own snore. Wincing at the sudden pain in his neck, he lifted his head from the table he had been working at. Wiping his face clear of drool with his sleeve as he glanced around the common room, he discovered there were a lot less people gathered about. Another sound, this one far too familiar, soon reached his ears.

A Dusty RoomA Dusty Room

She used her wand to illuminate the dusty storage room. The softly muttered lumos was quickly dampened by the extraneous boxes and covered items. Her wandering gaze rested only briefly on the curtain-covered object before coming to rest on the small box sitting in front of it. She had meant only to come in this room to hide, to escape the endless taunts and teasing remarks. They thought that because she didn't react, didn't seem to mind, they had the right to take and sully her things, call her names, and otherwise humiliate her.

Mirror of Erised-Contest EntryI had found this mirror many times before, but been too afraid to look in it. I had no idea why I was so afraid, but all I knew was I was stood there; right in front of it, staring into the reflection that showed.

There I was very nearly perfectly normal; though I was not wearing my usual Hogwarts uniform. It was a sort of dark blue robe, with a badge pinned lightly to it sleeve. I looked down at my real arm; moved the other one to run over it, checking I really wasn't wearing a badge on my sleeve. Nope. I was wearing my Hogwarts uniform, yet when I looked into this mirror it told me that I was wearing a strange robe.
